Privacy policy

This explains, in plain English, what we keep about cleaner training, certificates and company training invitations, why we keep it, and how to have it removed.

What we keep about your training
  • Your name and email address, so we know whose training place it is and where to send your certificate.
  • Which lessons you have opened and how far through the course you are.
  • Your test score and the date you passed.
  • A one-way code for the device you opened your invitation on, so a single training place cannot be shared with other people. We cannot turn that code back into a phone or computer.
  • We do not keep your answers to individual questions, and we never keep card details — payments are handled by our payment provider.
Your certificate
  • When you pass, we store the certificate number, your name, your score and the date it was issued, with a security signature that shows the certificate has not been altered.
  • Anyone you give the certificate number to can check it is genuine on our verification page. That page shows the certificate number, course, name, score and issue date — nothing else.
  • We keep certificate records for as long as the certificate is valid, so employers can still check it. If you delete your account we can remove your name from the record and leave it unverifiable instead.
Training places bought by a company
  • If your employer bought your training place, they can see your name, your email, whether you have opened your invitation, how far through the course you are, whether you have passed, and the date your certificate unlocks.
  • They cannot see your answers, and they cannot take the course as you.
  • Certificates on company places unlock 3 months after you open your training place. We store the date you opened it so we can work that out.
  • Your employer can cancel an unused invitation. Cancelling removes the invitation, not a certificate you already hold.
  • Invitation links are stored only as a one-way code, are single use, and stop working after 7 days.
Emails we send you
  • Your invitation link, reminders if you have not finished, and your certificate when it is issued.
  • We do not sell your details or pass them to advertisers.
How it is protected
  • Training records are stored on secure servers inside the UK and Europe and are only readable by you, your employer where they bought the place, and our staff who support you.
  • Marking, certificate issuing and verification all happen on our servers, so a certificate cannot be created or edited from a phone or computer.
  • Course lessons and videos are for your own learning and may not be downloaded, copied or shared.
Your rights
  • Ask for a copy of everything we hold about you.
  • Ask us to correct anything that is wrong, such as the spelling of your name on a certificate.
  • Ask us to delete your account and your training records.
  • Complain to the Information Commissioner's Office if you are unhappy with how we have handled your information.

You can ask us to delete your account, your training progress and your certificate records at any time.
